Welcome to the website of the Nation’s Capital Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., located in the District of Columbia!

Jack and Jill is a nonprofit organization comprised of members who are mothers with children between the ages of two and nineteen. Founded in 1938, the organization is dedicated to improving the quality of life for children, with a focus on those that identify as African American.

Our chapter’s mission is to provide enriching opportunities for children to develop skills and passions that prepare them to be leaders of the next generation. We are especially dedicated to ensuring that all children, not just our own, have these opportunities. Activities are designed to focus on serving the community and reflect core themes our children are exposed to as residents of the District of Columbia: leadership, political engagement, and advocacy.

Congratulations to the Nation’s Capital Chapter for winning 1st place in the National Best of the Best Programming Recognition for Civic/Legislative at the 45th National Convention! We received this award for our chapter's DC Statehood Initiatives.

A special thank you to Program Director, Gavel Club Chairs, and Air & Space grade group mothers and children for all their hard work.
